College Football Pick’em Week 6

Buffalo vs. Ohio – Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

Seth:OHIO 27, UB 20 – Ohio finally has a break from air raid offenses. Trouble is, they face one of the best backs in the country.

Zak: OHIO 34, UB 24 – Many are declaring the MAC portion of the Bobcats schedule to be the easiest part, but I believe it will be the most testing. The MAC is a very competitive conference, but I still think Ohio will continue to win. The offensive line will face yet another daunting task, but I think we’ll see Tettleton air things out more often than last week.

Kevin: OHIO 31, BUFF 14 – Ohio is looking to bounce back with a convincing win. Fortunately for the Bobcats, the passing game of the Bulls has struggled throughout this year. The key for Ohio will be stopping Branden Oliver, one of the most talented running backs in all of the MAC.

4 Louisiana State vs. 10 Florida – Saturday, 3:30 p.m.

Seth: LSU 21, UF 10 – Florida hasn’t convinced me that they’re the tenth best team in the nation.

Zak: LSU 23, UF 17 – The running back core, led by Kenny Hilliard, will need to be the spark on offense if the Tigers want to stay unbeaten. We know that the defense can hold up on their end, but the offense worries me. For now the Tigers stay unbeaten, but I don’t see it lasting much longer.

Kevin: UF 20, LSU 14 -I expect a classic SEC grind it out type of game from the Tigers and Gators. I  give the advantage to Florida who get to play this one at the swamp.

5 Georgia vs. 6 South Carolina – Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

Seth: UGA 24, SC 21 – Aaron Murray is the better quarterback here. I expect him to manage the game and get the ‘Dawgs a victory.

Zak: SCAR 33, UGA 30 – What a week for college football. This game will come down to which quarterback can out duel the other, and that means the mobile Connor Shaw will be able to escape the Georgia pass rush and lead his team to the upset victory.

Kevin:UGA 28, SCAR 10 – Both teams are ranked in the top 10, but I don’t think South Carolina is in the same class as Georgia. The Gamecocks struggled mightily with the lowly Kentucky Wildcats just one week ago, don’t count on them bouncing back against the SEC East favorites in Georgia.

8 West Viginia vs. 11 Texas – Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

Seth: WVU 41, UT 30 – It might stay close for a while because of how fantastic Big 12 defenses are, but Geno will take control late.

Zak: WVU 38, UT 31 – Geno Smith and the Mountaineer offense will see their first real defensive test in Texas. The Heisman front runner will need all the help he can get from his offensive line to hold off a Texas defense that ranks third in the Big 12 in sacks (9.0) and second in interceptions (7). I think they’re up for the task.

Kevin: UT 38, WVU 35 – Big 12 football, this game must be a shootout right? I do think both teams are slightly overrated from a national perspective, however they are clearly the top two teams of their conference. With Gus Johnson calling this game, you won’t want to miss a single DOWN THE SIDELINE!

21 Nebraska vs. 12 Ohio State – Saturday, 8:00 p.m.

Seth: OSU 27, NEB 20 – Braxton Miller is Ohio State’s everything. I like him way more than Taylor Martinez.

Zak: OSU 23, NEB 20 – I didn’t believe that Braxton Miller and the Urban Meyer-run offense could stand up to the Michigan State defense in Lansing, but I was proven wrong. The Spartans couldn’t slow Miller down, and I don’t think that the Cornhuskers are capable of doing a better job.

Kevin: OSU 17 NEB 14 – Ohio State hasn’t impressed me very much this year, however I think they change that this weekend. Braxton Miller will do just enough to give the Buckeyes a big win over a quality in conference opponent.

25 UCLA vs. California – Saturday, 10:00 p.m.

Seth: CAL 24, UCLA 20 – After the performance Cal had against Ohio State, this would be far from an upset.

Zak: UCLA 28, CAL 17 – Brett Hundley and the UCLA spread offense create another nightmare matchup for the Golden Bears, who are having a nightmare season. Cal’s season is pretty much lost at this point.

Kevin: CAL 27, UCLA 20 – Judging by the records of the two teams, this appears to be a major upset. I don’t feel that way, however. Cal has played much superior competition, and has been nothing but competitive in each of its games. The Pac-12 is deep this year, Cal is a great example of why.

23 Washington vs. 2 Oregon – Saturday, 10:30 p.m.

Seth: ORE 44, UW 21 – No upset for the Huskies here.

Zak: ORE 48, UW 27 – No one has been able to present any type of challenge toward Oregon this season.

Kevin: ORE 45, US 21 – Washington opened my eyes when the defeated Stanford, however I don’t feel that they have enough to compete with Oregon.
