After trailing 1-0, Franziska Schmiedal would get her second goal of the season, evening up the scoreboard at the 15:02 mark. Fourteen minutes later, the Bobcats would find themselves behind again, and enter the half trailing 2-1.

In the second half, neither team would be able to find the goal and the score would not change. As time expired, luckily for Ohio, they would receive a corner opportunity. Given the opportunity, the Bobcats would capitalize and Lauryl Desch sent the game into overtime.
